When you schedule Zoolz to run the backup at a certain time, your machine should be awake in order for the backup to take place. If your machine is in sleep mode at the time of the backup, Zoolz will not be able to run it and will postpone the backup until the next scheduled time. For more information about this, please click here.

You can set Zoolz to wake the computer up at the time of the backup by applying the following:

  1. Since Zoolz Archive uses the Windows Task Scheduler to run the scheduled backup, open the Windows Task Scheduler on your machine. (Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Double-click Task Scheduler)
  2. From the left panel of the Windows Task Scheduler, select Task Scheduler Library.
  3. Double-click the Zoolz Start Backup task from the list of your scheduled tasks.
  4. From the General tab and under the Security options, select the Run whether user is logged on or not option.
  5. From the Conditions tab and under the Power, select the Wake the computer to run this task option.
  6. Click the OK button. The Task Scheduler will ask you to enter the login password of your Windows user account. Please do and click OK.
