Zoolz offers continuous data protection (CDP) through customizable scheduling settings. (Learn more)
To ensure backups occur as scheduled, the computer must be powered on and not in sleep or hibernation mode. Additionally, the user must be logged into their profile. If these conditions are not met, the backup will be postponed. However, you can configure Zoolz to wake the computer at the backup time using the Windows Task Scheduler.
How to Configure Zoolz to Wake the Computer for Scheduled Backups
- Since Zoolz Archive uses the Windows Task Scheduler to run the scheduled backup, open the Windows Task Scheduler on your machine. (Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Double-click Task Scheduler)
- From the left panel of the Windows Task Scheduler, select Task Scheduler Library.
- Double-click the Zoolz Start Backup task from the list of your scheduled tasks.
- From the General tab and under the Security options, select the Run whether user is logged on or not option.
- From the Conditions tab and under the Power, select the Wake the computer to run this task option.
- Click the OK button. The Task Scheduler will ask you to enter the login password of your Windows user account. Please do and click OK.
