By default, Zoolz/Zoolz Intelligent will use any available Internet connection at the upload time. You can customize it to use only certain connection by doing the following:

Method 1: From the Zoolz software

  1. Right-click Zoolz agent (icon) in the system tray → Open Dashboard.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Select the Connection option from the left side menu.
  4. Select the type of the connection you prefer Zoolz to use when uploading the data. There will be three options there, and you can select more than one of them:
    • Wired connection (LAN).
    • Wireless connection (WiFi): You can also create a WiFi Safelist, to specify which WiFi connection Zoolz can use in case you have multiple WiFi connections.
    • Mobile connection (PPP, 3G, 4G, etc.).

Method 2: From the Zoolz website

This method applies when you are using a policy to control the backup.

  1. Sign into your Zoolz online account.
  2. Refer to the Policies tab.
  3. Click on the Edit button next to the policy name you wish to edit, or create a new policy.
  4. Under the Settings tab, and from the General Settings section, select the type of the connection you prefer Zoolz to use when uploading the data, from under the Only allow Zoolz to upload on option. There will be three options there, and you can select more than one of them:
    • Wired connection (LAN).
    • Wireless connection (WiFi): You can also create a WiFi Safelist, to specify which WiFi connection Zoolz can use in case you have multiple WiFi connections.
    • 3G connection (PPP).
  5. Click the Save button to save changes.
