Zoolz backs up to Amazon S3 servers, and does not limit or cap uploading speed unless the user choose to throttle the bandwidth taken by Zoolz.

You can enable the bandwidth throttling and schedule it (if needed) as the following:

Method 1: Using Zoolz Desktop software

  1. Right-click the Zoolz agent (icon) in the system tray → Open Dashboard.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. From the left panel, select the Resource optimization.
  4. Check the box beside Enable Bandwidth Throttling.
  5. Set the throttling options that you want Zoolz to follow.
  6. Click the Save icon.

Method 2: From Zoolz Website

This method applies when you are using a policy to control the backup.

  1. Sign into your Zoolz online account.
  2. Refer to the Policies tab.
  3. Click on the Edit button next to the policy name you wish to edit, or create a new policy.
  4. Under the Settings tab, and from under the Bandwidth Throttling section, check the box beside Enable Bandwidth Throttling, and set the throttling options that you want Zoolz to follow
  5. Click on the Save button to save the changes.
  6. Assign the policy to the wanted user.

Method 2 above is only available in the Business edition of Zoolz.

Method 1: Using BigMIND Desktop Software

  1. Right-click on the BigMIND icon in the system tray, and select the Open Dashboard option.
  2. From Zoolz dashboard, click on Settings.
  3. From the left panel, select the Resource optimization.
  4. Check the box beside Enable Bandwidth Throttling.
  5. Set the throttling options that you want BigMIND to follow.
  6. Save.

Method 2: From BigMIND Website

  1. Sign into your BigMIND online account.
  2. Refer to the Policies tab.
  3. Create a new policy or click on the Edit button next to the policy name you wish to edit.
  4. Go to the Settings tab.
  5. Set your throttling options at the Bandwidth Throttling section.
  6. Click on the Save button to save the changes.
  7. Assign the policy to the wanted user.
