Error Message: “Cloud Backup detected that your computer has missing or corrupt dependencies/prerequisites”

SYMPTOMS

Installing the Zoolz/BigMIND desktop software on Windows platforms fails.

 

CAUSE

This occurs because something is preventing the setup file from downloading and/or installing the components needed for the backup service.

 

RESOLUTION

  1. If your Operating System is older than Windows 10, install this update for Universal C Runtime.
  2. Download the following Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributables and install them both:

    If your system is 32-bit, install only the 32-bit (x86) versions below.

    Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 – 32-bit (x86) Download
    Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 – 64-bit (x64) Download

  3. Download the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 from this page, and proceed with installing it. If this version or a higher one is installed, you will get a notification about it.
  4. Try to install Zoolz/BigMIND again now.
